Madrigal Farms is very proud to stand the versatile
halter and performance champion:

Trubador's Madrigal
15.2h Straight Egyptian/Al Khamsa Stallion

In today's specialized market, "Truman" remains a "renaissance man." His size, type, and trainability make him a sire of show horses. His athleticism attracts clients interested in both the sport horse disciplines and endurance riding. Last, but certainly not least, his classic pedigree makes him an important addition to any Egyptian breeding program.

Trubador's Madrigal is by the late, great, Haziz Halim. This outstanding Ansata Ibn Halima son spent his entire breeding career standing at a small farm here in Oregon. Those of us lucky enough to know this wonderful stallion understand he was every bit the producer of his more heavily promoted peers. Haziz Halim crossed exceptionally well with a variety of bloodlines, but none better than with Truman's dam Chelsea HF (Egyptian Event Top Ten Halter Mare). The offspring from this cross have been remarkably successful both in this country and abroad. Maria Halima, a full sister, was exported to Germany by Erwin & Annette Escher. Her stunning black fillies just keep on winning at the Egyptian Event Europe. Another full sister, Chelima, is the foundation mare for Nancy & Loren Wight's Rockin Heart Egyptian Arabians, and the dam of champions. We feel very fortunate to have the fair-haired child in this family of black beauties.

Coming from a performance background, it is very important to us that a stallion be physically and mentally capable of being a riding horse, and in this regard Trubador's Madrigal continues to exceed our expectations. As a show horse, Truman claims class A championships in five events: halter, sport horse in-hand, hunter pleasure, western pleasure, and trail horse class. Tall and elegant, Trubador's Madrigal makes a very striking picture on the rail. To compliment his Arabian show accomplishments, Truman has done very well in open and all breed competitions earning a number of highpoints and series championships. It has been very gratifying to have judges and trainers of other breeds comment on the beauty and quality of our stallion. Best of all, Trubador's Madrigal is a willing and enthusiastic partner not only in the show ring, but also out on the trail. For now, our plans are to continue to show Trubador's Madrigal here in the Northwest with the hopes of making it to the Egyptian Event in the future.

Offspring:
While we have really enjoyed Truman's accomplishments as a show horse, the most rewarding part of stallion ownership has been seeing each years foals, and watching them mature into champions and loving companions for our clients. With his oldest foal crop being only five years of age, Trubador's Madrigal has already sired both futurity and performance champions. Several Truman get, including our Trubador's Serenade, are earning these championships as youth horses. It is easy to pick Truman foals out in a crowd, as they are tall, leggy, elegant horses with wonderful expressions. Truman's work ethic and outstanding disposition shines through from a variety of mare lines.
