About Us
Horse wa s
the first word Laura learned to say, and she has been just that singular
of focus ever since. However, she was never able to refine exactly what
part of the horse industry was right for her until she was introduced
to Arabians. While attending Oregon State University, Laura was fortunate
to be able to work for Gradin Arabians, and learn from Claudia Gradin.
Claudia was dedicated first and foremost to perpetuating classic Arabian
type. However, the Gradin Arabians Straight Egyptian breeding program
also produced very nice riding horses. It did not take very much time
for Laura to be totally hooked.
When it was time for us to strike out on our own, we were very fortunate
to be able
to purchase Trubador’s Madrigal from Scott and Gina Bressler of
Gentle Oaks Stables. He exemplifies all of the qualities we admired in
the Gradin horses. Truman is tall, athletic, trainable, and extremely
personable.
Owning
horses, be it one or many, really is a lifestyle. More than that, like
us, most horse owners are not equine professionals, and do not make their
living in the horse industry. The vast majority are amateurs looking for
fun, relaxation, and
to have a relationship with their animal. We are very proud of the fact
that Truman and his foals have the quality necessary to excel in the show
ring. We are even more proud that they are consistently able to do these
things with youth and amateur owners and riders. Truman foals are safe,
sane, and eager to please.
At Madrigal Farms, we love more than anything helping people find the
equine partner that they are going to be most successful with. Please
feel free to call or email for more information.
